GLAMOROUS

Hey ladies,
I am sure you all are familiar with Fergie's all time "Glamorous" lyrics and it hit me that this is the society that we live in. We have discussed several times the influence that society plays on individuals and beauty has been glorified by the thin, tan, blonde beauties. There always seems to be such a standard to conform to live up too and unconsciously if we were all honest with ourselves it would apply to each of us. I have to admit, I think the song is cute, but all the underlying messages are very clear.

What is Feminism?

Well, we all should be very aware of this term. I discovered through this class that I would consider myself to be a feminist. Primarily, because I am a firm believer in equality, especially among the sexes. Take for example, my husband is a bit on the lazy side so to speak and I am the one who does all the yard work on top of all the other household chores that were intended to be for women, but who came up with that idea is way out there. Hello Ms. Kerby and fellow classmates! This is such a new experience for me. I hope I am doing this right. It is such a beautiful day outside, and I am so glad that the semester is coming to a close, how about you? I suppose I will be researching different ideas that are related to our class discussion over the semester so I will be returning shortly.....
